Who I Am, What Phyllux Is, and Why This Exists

2026-03-08 · David E. Sproule

I am David E. Sproule, and Phyllux Technologies is the public face of a much larger body of work: systems, products, stories, and ideas built around one simple standard. Do the best things, in the best way, for the best reasons.

That standard sounds abstract until it meets reality. In practice, it means trying to build tools and structures that are actually useful, actually ethical, and actually capable of helping people instead of simply extracting from them. That is why the site includes both technology and literature, both engineering and publishing, both product pages and worldbuilding.

Phyllux is not just one invention or one market. It is an ecosystem. On one side there is the technology stack: WAVE, MESH, VAULT, CORE. On another side there is BookWyrm, StoryGuild, and the literary work. On another side there is the coordination and automation work that sits behind everything. The point is not novelty for novelty's sake. The point is stewardship.

I care about local first tools, durable systems, and work that still makes sense after the hype cycle has burned out. That is why BookWyrm matters. That is why StoryGuild matters. That is why the site is full of long form explanations instead of empty slogans.

This blog exists to make the work more legible. I want people to understand what I am building, why I am building it, and where it is actually ready versus where it is still in progress. Honest context is better than polished confusion.
