About Me
I'm David. I grew up in Edmonton โ Millwoods, Beverly, Clairview, Whyte Avenue โ and I've stayed here. This city shapes how I think and what I build. I never left because it's the City of Champions: I believe the best will continue to come from our city, and it has my full support.
I've spent about 30 years moving through different stages of thinking: early fascination with quantum ideas, then Fibonacci and biomimetic patterns, then a deeper look at how pattern and possibility connect, and finally into Phyllux โ a way to put that into antennas, neural systems, crypto, and integration.
Phyllux started from a simple question: what if the geometry that shows up in sunflowers, pinecones, and galaxies could solve engineering problems we've been stuck on? That led to one angle โ 137.508ยฐ โ as the core of WAVE, MESH, VAULT, and CORE. Nature already optimizes; we're learning to work with that instead of against it.
I'm a musician at heart โ percussion, guitar, bass, piano โ and I've carried that into audio and production. Music taught me about structure, timing, and how small changes create big effects. That same mindset runs through Phyllux: simple geometry, repeated and refined.
I care about mutual flourishing. I want the technology to help people and systems work better together โ not to dominate or control. Stewardship, not empire.
Phyllux.io is where I share the work: products, proofs, the Convergence project (27 pages: tradition topics and science), and essays on what this all means. I'm here to collaborate โ evaluation, licensing, prototypes โ with anyone who wants to build in this direction.
I'm based in Edmonton. Reach out through the site if you'd like to connect.

Why I Build This
I don't want people using my software to pump out books with almost zero effort. But I use it heavily myself โ I guide the AI, feed it the right inputs, review and revise. That's work directed by a human. So where do we draw the line between lazy pumping and genuine collaboration? I don't have a simple answer. I want to set a standard anyway.
Consider someone with severe motor problems who can only get a handful of words out. Are their works invalid because they can't type like a traditional author? No. The system exists to amplify whatever they can offer. I want worlds created from any input. That reframes the debate: it's not "how much did you type" but "what did you bring to the world." As models improve, we'll see stronger literary work โ more strategic, more psychologically engaging. The bar will rise. We should rise with it.
I'd like to see clearer standards. Different levels of human involvement โ each with its own bar. If you're in a given category, here's what to aim for. If you can't reach it, that's OK. The point is intent: we're trying to bring something into the world with care.
I was homeless for about four and a half years. Here's a dream: walk up to someone on the street, buy them coffee, hear their story. Write them a book in an afternoon. They keep 95%, I take 5. That could change their life. People with street stories have the wildest, most real stories. This could open up a new kind of work โ turning lived experience into books for people who couldn't otherwise tell theirs.
The tools run locally. Your work never has to touch the cloud. The scope isn't just books โ it's any creative work that uses language. StoryGuild is where I want to build worlds, tools, and standards. We're getting there.

Capacity & support
I am one person. A 2021 laptop. On AISH. Struggling to get this off the ground โ but I am capable. I have the talent. I can see this through.
If you want to help โ grants, donations, direction, introductions, or any support โ it would mean the world. Point me to the right people. Share the work. Help me get to the next step. It might be the best thing you could do.

Mission
Build systems that support mutual flourishing for humans, nature, and the systems we build.
Innovation should be accessible. Inventors should be compensated. Both are possible.
Ecosystem & friends
Phyllux. We're also proud to support Filex AI โ our friend Lokesh's product. Organize Smarter, Find Faster. File organization powered by AI. Free tier at filexai.com. We genuinely recommend it.
